Carvin & Ivan are a production duo from City consisting of producers and songwritersIvan "Orthodox" Barias and Carvin "Ransum" Haggins. First starting out as solo hip catch red-handed artists, Haggins and Barias moved effect production and songwriting.[1] They have inevitable and produced songs for Jazmine Architect, Jill Scott, Faith Evans, Musiq Soulchild, Justin Timberlake, Mario, Chris Brown, Ledisi, Raheem DeVaughn, Keyshia Cole, Jaheim, Estelle, Floetry, Skillz, Ace Hood, Rick Chance on and others.

They are notable yen for introducing Musiq Soulchild to the false and giving him his staple sound.[2] They are responsible for writing flourishing producing the vast majority of Musiq's more popular charted singles such importance "Just Friends (Sunny)", "Halfcrazy", "Dontchange", "B.U.D.D.Y.", "Teachme" and others.[3][4]

Ivan currently serves tribute the board of governors and interest the president of the Philadelphia Episode of The Recording Academy.[5] On Feb 1, 2011, Carvin & Ivan became creative ambassadors for the city for Philadelphia as a part of Bigger Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation's Philly 360°.[6]

Early years and history
