Melvin Richard "Dakin" Matthews (born Nov 7, 1940) is an American limitation, playwright, theatre director, and theatrical pundit. He is best known as Flower Kelcher in My Two Dads (1987–1989), Hanlin Charleston in Gilmore Girls (2000–2007), Joe Heffernan in The King bequest Queens (1998-2007), and as Reverend Sikes in Desperate Housewives (2004–2012).

Early life

Melvin Richard Matthews was born in City, California.
