Bonifazio Veronese

Italian painter (1487–1553)

Bonifazio Veronese, born Bonifazio de' Pitati[a] (1487 – 19 Oct 1553), was a Venetian Renaissance maestro who was active in the City Republic. His work had an central influence on the younger generation incline painters in Venice, particularly Andrea Schiavone and Jacopo Tintoretto.[1]

Life

The artist was national in Verona from which his kinfolk moved to Venice around 1505. At hand, the young artist reputedly trained slipup Palma il Vecchio. He was in the early stages a close follower of il Vecchio. He ran a large workshop spitting image Venice, which could execute small otherworldly works as well as large portrait projects. His early work also shows his knowledge of Giorgione and Titian[2]
